It has been three weeks since my last update. In that time I have received a total of $700. $200 of that is a regular monthly donation. I was pleasantly surprised by a $500 donation from a “sometimes” supporter in Illinois. At the end of August I began a quest to raise $10,000 in a short time. The main reason for attempting that amount was to prevent having to ask so often for donations and I could focus on other tasks. Since that time I have received $7,265 in donations. With a little over two weeks left to the year, my estimate was not far off. However, donations are the lowest they have ever been in the history of this ministry. While the initial push for funds did bring some donations in, as I said in my first request back in August, there were expenses to be covered.

Today, the need is more urgent than it has been in many years. There is a need for $2,000 before the first of the year – at least $500 by the end of this week. Please prayerfully consider a year end, tax-deductible donation to this ministry.

Because of the shortage of funds, I have been trying to sell some of my grandmother’s “Tid Bits.” This is similar to Chex Mix, but her special recipe. If you are interested in some, please let me know and I will send details on prices and sizes.

Divine appointments continue to happen on a regular basis. God has made it clear that Love Inc is sorely needed in the Greater New Orleans area. I have had several situations come before me that God makes me keenly aware that Love Inc would be the place to send these people if we had an affiliate. New Orleans will have an affiliate and it will be unfolding quickly as the New Year comes.

While I have not sent out “The Solution of The Day” in a while, I have felt the Lord prompting me to do so for Christmas. I will begin a small series tomorrow focusing on the true meaning of Christmas and the scriptures that tell us of the birth of Our Lord. If you are not on that e-mail list, please let me know if you want to be added. Or, you can go to the website www.healthcaresolutionsacm.org to read it daily. However, they do not accumulate. So, if you miss a day, it will not be there the next.

I pray you each have a blessed and merry Christmas. May your New Year be filled with grace and peace.
