It has been extremely busy here at Healthcare Solutions – A Christian Ministry. And the need is urgent for funding.

I have four main clients that I am working with who all require daily attention.

One lady is in radiation treatment. This requires five days a week treatments. She is also having quite a few follow up doctor appointments – one to two a week. We have had a minor snafu with her medications. I am glad I did not make the mistake; but, I am also not happy that the pharmacy did not fill her prescription as the doctor wrote it. This resulted in increased anxiety and sleepless nights for her. On contacting the doctor and reviewing the copy of the prescription in her file, we found out that it was the pharmacy that made the mistake and was able to rectify the situation quickly.

Another lady is buying the double she has been living in. This is requiring my diligence in making sure she has all the information ahead of time as far as the condition of the house. I have to make sure finances are in place. She too has doctor appointments to attend. Along with that she has a cat that is like a child to her. So, vet appointments have to be fit in. Add to that her extreme anxiety that arises with all of these things. And she loves to spend money; so, I have to constantly remind her of her budgetary limitations.

Another lady is scheduled for surgery. So, we have had to get clearance from her Cardiologist as well as her primary care doctor. She also has anxiety issues that affect her heart – resulting in hospital admission. While it is typically just an overnight stay – I still have to make sure she gets home with proper instructions. This lady is Hispanic, so there is a language barrier. While I am learning a few Spanish words, my repertoire is limited. She can speak some English, but not much. So, that is a challenge. But, we do overcome and do fairly well. She has a son who lives locally but does not participate in her care at all. It is sad because she aches for him to get his act together and have a better relationship with him.

I am also trying to help a lady get her house in physical order as well as get her healthcare needs met on a regular basis. I work more with her family. And the challenge is to help her realize the changes she needs to make in order to stay healthy as well as financially prudent. I am also working with the family in advising concerning the father’s care.

In between all these appointments I continue to field calls advising people on Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, VA Benefits, etc. Some calls require only a few minutes, other calls require anywhere from 30 minutes to a couple of hours to handle. Some, I help fill out paperwork and facilitate delivery. Others, I guide to where they need to go and what they need to do. Many just do not have a clue where to turn.

It still remains that people just do not realize the value of this ministry until they actually experience the need and the blessing. Please consider a donation to help support the work. There is an urgent need for $1,000. If you are local, I can pick up a check. Otherwise, you can mail a check to the address below. Remember, all donations are tax deductible.

Thank you for your consideration and support.
